Honing is a process or using abrasive stones to remove material from the inside of a round hole. The abrasive stones can be made from common materials such as aluminum oxide (similar to sandpaper)  This process involves rotating the honing stones on a special mandrel which removes material in a precise manner to get an exact size and exceptional surface finish. It can also be used to size irregular holes where other processes may not be economical. It is a fantastic compliment to deep-hole drilling

We have the capability to hone from 38.1mm to 500mm (1.5 to 20 inch) diameter and up to 4.5 meters (15 ft) long.
